Q - If I buy your art, do I now own the copyright?
A - NO. Wendy retains the copyright on all her works of art. You are purchasing the artwork (a print) itself, not the rights to the artwork.
Q - If I buy your art, can I use the image or resue the item itself to make stuff and sell it?
A- NO. That would be a derivative work or a modified work, and unless you have arranged a licensing agreement with Wendy, then this is illegal. Wendy retain all rights on making derivative and modified works of her artwork. The work Wendy sells is in a specific format (i.e. a card, calendar, print, etc.) and buying that item and then using that item to create a different item (like a box with a card glued onto the top and varnished) is a modified work and is illegal. Reselling of the item in its original form is legal. For example, if you buy a card, and then resell it in its original, unmodified form as a card, then that is fine.Wendy retains ALL rights to her artwork, even if you buy a print or the original, unless she has a signed legal contract and has signed over certain rights to you.
Q - Can I use your art to to make stuff and sell it?
A - ONLY if Wendy has licensed her artwork to be used on your product (currently Wendy has licensed her work to EMG Graphics and Misty Dreamz).Wendy is always happy to consider new licensing and you are welcome to contact her and propose your idea. But under NO circumstances are you allowed to create items with Wendy's art on it until there is a signed licensing contract between both parties, yourself and Wendy.
Q - Can I use your website graphics on my site?
A - NO. Wendy and her team have created these graphics to give the Fairyweald a certain "feel" to it. These graphics are copyrighted to Wendy and she does not give permission for them to be used on any other site except her own. Wendy does have free website graphics available @ Enchanting Designz. Wendy is thinking about creating some free website graphics available exclusively at the Fairyweald in the future.
Q - Do you sell wholesale?
A - At present Wendy does not wholesale. This is very likely to change in the near future. Please check back for wholesale information update to come.
Q - Does Wendy take commissions?
A - At present Wendy does not do commisions. She has a few personal projects that is doing for family member and close personal friends at present, plus on top of that; she has so many ideas to put down on paper, she has a LONG list of images to get done. Commissions may happen in the future.
Q - If I sent Wendy my postal address or e-mail, would she paint something for me?
A - Wendy loves to hear from fans, but as stated above she has LOTS of ideas in her head and brought up by her muse, that she is very focused on getting those images down and painted on paper or in digital media. Please feel free to try and inspire Wendy with your ideas and who knows, she might create something like what you want!
