Art Usage Guidelines August 2006 – changes or any modifications to the guidelines can and possibly will occur as Wendy deems necceassary. Please check back periodically for updates, changes or additions to the below:

Art Usage Guidelines:

Wendy's artwork can be used for the following:

Signature tags, websites, graphics, e-mail stationary, pixel dolls, OOAK:

-- Must be used for non-profit and non-commercial usage
-- As long as there is only proportional resizing done - do not distort the width or height of an artwork unnaturally
-- Each and every time that signature or avatar is posted somewhere, it MUST have the name credit (Wendy Fowler) and link visible back to: www.thefairyandturtle.come/fairyweald.html
-- Regardless of alteration to the image, the copyright of the artwork will remain with Wendy Fowler as per Copyright Law. Please put the credit line text "© Wendy Fowler 2005" anywhere the artwork appears. Wendy prefers to have a link back to our website for any and all web use of her work using the above link. The “©” can be created by holding the alt button + 0 1 6 9 (PC) or “option G” (Mac)
-- If you’re creating websites, graphics (to include MySpace, Blogger, Livejournal, etc – any online journal or community of this nature), stationary and allowing people to take and use them in other places, you MUST inform them that they MUST do this as well (please refer them to this link on Wendy Fowler’s Art Usage)
-- You can edit the image for these uses by cropping, feathering and resizing, but not distorting shape or color.
-- Pixel dolls and or creating a real OOAK doll that is based on a character in my artwork, displaying the image in its unaltered form on your website and provide credit name and a link back to my website ( And if you do either or, please let me know as I’d love to see your work and what piece inspired you!)
-- DO NOT place your © mark on any of Wendy’s artwork.
-- You cannot make a profit in any way for these items

For use as a permanent tattoo:

Wendy does allow you to have her images tattooed on your skin permanently. However, she asks that following guidelines be used for tattoos as she does not carry or create tatto stencils.

You must have and or purchased a print of the image you plan to have done. This enables you to own a print of the image you like well enough to make the image a permanent part of your body and in turn, Wendy is compensated for the image that she created and rightfully own and has been generous to let you use. This also provides the tattoo artist with a quality image to create your tattoo from. And finally, you must tell the tattoo artist to destroy the design when finished. We do not want them to begin selling Wendy’s designs! And, should you get a tattoo of one of Wendy’s artwork; we would love an image of the tattoo to share on our site!

Wendy’s artwork cannot be used as the following:

ANY use or distribution for profit (UNLESS we have a contract together) and tubing, which encourages wide spread distribution without any copyright or link credit, as well as severe distortion and alteration of Wendy's artwork.

Final Word: - If you cannot accept and or follow the above art usage guidelines, please DO NOT use any of Wendy's work. If any violations are found, the guidelines will change to possibly not allowing ANY type of the above mentioned for anyone, unless through contract and licensing agreement.
